Interesting, but I disagree:
Mediterranean Africa cannot really be regarded as culturally african, the sahara is a divider, the Mediterranean a binder.
The traditional Ural-Istanbul borders of Europe have no real basis in reality, Russians on one side of the Ural mountains are largely the same as Russians on the other, Turks in Thrace are the same really as Turks in Anatolia.
While your idea has some good points, there many areas for improvement.
